Hi my name is Aina but friends call me AA.
My favourite colour is green, orange and light blue. I love baby animals.my hobbies are art, sport and looking after baby animals. But the thing I love the most is swans.
For homework we had to read the book called Staying alive in grade 5 and respond to it.
I did 2 responds and they were asking questions and finding interesting or unknown words.

Today we were doing a 100 word challenge.
We had to choose prompt out of:
-What if…
-That’s what happens when…
-This is how it happened.
-The troll under the bridge.
I choose the prompt that’s what happens when….
From that prompt I wrote a pice of writing. This is what I wrote:
What does happen in Mars?
Far from earth there is a planet called Mars and there is no life, there just me. “Boom,” I heard something in the distance. I was very scared so I started digging fast, suddenly there was a big wind and that stopped me from digging. There it was a small sand cave, I tried crawling it was hard, until BANG! A huge rock fell from the sky in front of the sand cave. I saw someone coming towards me. “Ahhhhhhh,” what am I going to do.

I read chapters 7-9
Today we talked about Scott’s grandpa was taken to the hospital because he had a heart attack.
We thought an interesting point was when the grade six students were teasing Mrs Murlin that he looked funny eg. Mary said, “My dog looks better than him even though he has been dead for 2 years.”
The main event was when the grandpa had a heart attack because it was sad.
We think the grandpa will die in the next chapter.
Monday 4th of August
I am so excited to go to the SNOW today, if reading Miss Lucas I am so sorry I am not going to school for 5 days (a week). I am going with my mum.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO THERE?
~On the first day, we will pack out of our bags and if we have time we can have a snow ball fight.
~On 2nd to the 2nd last day we will go skiing down the mountains. It will very funny for my mum because will be going on T bars.
~On the last day we will be going on our sled that we brought along the way.
I am very sure mum and me will have a good time….
and we did!:)
The book I read in my Literature Circle was stay alive in year year.
I read chapters 1-4
The chapter was about the teacher Mr Murlin was being crazy.
In my groups discussion I talked about was the questioner and discussed the question.
Through my discussion, I learnt how to get in the discussion.
An interesting thought I took from the chapter was; chapter 3 was interesting because it gets more deeper into the story and I found a lot of interesting facts I did not know about the main character.
