For homework we had to read the book called Staying alive in grade 5 and respond to it.
I did 2 responds and they were asking questions and finding interesting or unknown words.

Why did Scott think that the young guy with blood all over his face got under arrest?
Why didn’t Scott and Johnny get trouble?
Why would the grade 3’s put a dead mouse in Mrs Muddy’s lunchbox?
Why did Scott’s brother make a cup of coffee for there mum?

I read chapters 7-9
Today we talked about Scott’s grandpa was taken to the hospital because he had a heart attack.
We thought an interesting point was when the grade six students were teasing Mrs Murlin that he looked funny eg. Mary said, “My dog looks better than him even though he has been dead for 2 years.”
The main event was when the grandpa had a heart attack because it was sad.
We think the grandpa will die in the next chapter.

The book I read in my Literature Circle was stay alive in year year.
I read chapters 1-4
The chapter was about the teacher Mr Murlin was being crazy.
In my groups discussion I talked about was the questioner and discussed the question.
Through my discussion, I learnt how to get in the discussion.
An interesting thought I took from the chapter was; chapter 3 was interesting because it gets more deeper into the story and I found a lot of interesting facts I did not know about the main character.
